Sausages with Peppers and Onion

- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 1/2 Lb Italian sausage , sweet or hot
- 4 cloves garlic , crushed
- 3 large onions , sliced
- 3 green bell peppers , seeded and cut in strips
- 3 red bell peppers , seeded and cut in strips
- 1/2 tsp oregano
Heat half the oil in a heavy nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Pierce each sausage with a fork several times. Saut'e until well browned, turning occasionally. Add remaining oil and saut'e garlic and onion until onions are tender. Mix in peppers and oregano. Cook until the onions are lightly browned and peppers are tender. Place on a warm platter to serve.
